The best thing to grace Hawthorne Blvd (Portland) in a damn long time.
Hey, Portland… take your stylist hineys to Mag-Big, an incredible new shop that has opened up on SE Hawthorne Blvd in the amazing beautiful stone house-turned-business that the Dollar Scholar used to be in. It’s sandwiched directly between Goldust Meridian and my favorite vintage shop, House of Vintage.
Here’s the thing about Mag-Big: it’s a shop where only Portland-metro based artist get to consign their goods at ridiculously affordable prices. I was floored when I saw how cheap their gorgeous one-of-a-kind goods were. My friend Cassie runs the place and I am hoping to sell some of my feather brooches and flower hairpieces once I perfect the manufacturing of them. I’m giving away my prototypes as gifts to friends and local artisans in exchange for their wares until I can get the formula and steps just right.
